The Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers starred in a highly-anticipated Monday night matchup, but it wasn’t as impressive as most people expected.
Considering the Chargers’ defensive woes and Justin Herbert’s ability to put up big numbers, most people expected this to be a bit of a shootout or a nail-bitter, and that wasn’t the case.
The game total was set at 50.5 points in most sportsbooks, so under bettors barely sweat with that 20-17 score.
More than that, former NFL superstar Richard Sherman was far from impressed with the game, calling it a lightweight undercard fight between two sloppy teams.

Talking on “Undisputed,” Sherman stated that the Cowboys defense did look better against the run vs. the Chargers, but they have yet to be the dominant pass-rushing team they were supposed to be.
Moreover, he was concerned about Tony Pollard’s lack of efficiency, which is becoming a bit of an issue for the Cowboys offense now.
The former Super Bowl champion was also less than impressed with the fact that the Cowboys were only able to put up 20 points against the worst passing defense in the league, stating that going 2 for 4 in the red zone is not good enough.
At the end of the day, a win is a win and they’ll take it.
But as for being impressive or a statement win, that just wasn’t the case.
