The Cincinnati Bengals have been an intriguing team to watch over the last few NFL seasons.
After failing to find much success under Marvin Lewis, they have turned themselves into contenders thanks to the likes of head coach Zac Taylor, quarterback Joe Burrow, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, and many other key pieces.
However, Burrow has battled a few major injuries over the years, which has allowed for backup quarterback Jake Browning to step in.
Browning recently appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio to chat about his relationship with Burrow.
“Joe and I got a really good relationship…He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL,” Browning said.

Burrow is one of the best players in the league when healthy.
The former Comeback Player of the Year and Pro-Bowler took Cincinnati to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1988 in 2021.
However, he only played in 10 games last year due to calf and wrist injuries.
That is when Browning stepped in and played pretty well.
Among qualified quarterbacks (at least nine games played), the former Washington Husky led the league in completion percentage (70.4%).
He had a passer rating of 98.4 and had a winning record as the starter (4-3).
The 28-year-old started his career in Minnesota (2019-2021) after going undrafted out of Washington.
Then, he signed with the Bengals in 2021 and has proven to be one of the league’s more reliable backups.
Looking ahead to the 2024 season, the Bengals have everything in front of them with a healthy Burrow back.
But if he were to go down again, they have a stable backup option in Browning.
