The Dallas Cowboys have had the quietest offseason in the NFL and spent the least amount of money in free agency of any team, which is uncharacteristic for them.
With the bulk of free agency in the rearview mirror, the Cowboys are still looking to make other additions to the roster and are reportedly working out a former Green Bay Packers defender.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Cowboys are working out UFL standout defensive end Jonathan Garvin, who is just 24 years old and coming off a strong season with the UFL champion Birmingham Stallions.
UFL standout DE Jonathan Garvin, who previously played three seasons in Green Bay, is working out for the #Cowboys, per his agency @LAASportsEnt. He’s 24 and coming off a productive season with the UFL champion Birmingham Stallions.

Even though Garvin is only 24, he has three seasons with the Packers under his belt after being drafted in the seventh round in 2020.
Garvin collected 32 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his three years in Green Bay and had 20 tackles and 3.5 sacks for Birmingham this past season.
Dallas also signed another UFL standout yesterday in former Las Vegas Raiders first-round pick CB Gareon Conley who hasn’t played in the NFL since 2019.
It’s nice to see players from the UFL getting looks by the NFL, as clearly teams were watching Sunday’s UFL Championship matchup between Birmingham and the San Antonio Brahmas.
It’s unclear what Garvin’s contract is at the moment or whether or not he has a legitimate shot of making the team, but he at least could be a valuable depth piece to add to this defense.
Dallas could use the help after losing Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr. in free agency to the Washington Commanders.
