In the middle of the offseason, pundits like to look at the state of each NFL team to see what they might be capable of once the next season begins.
Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd was recently chatting with fellow analyst John Middlekauff on The Colin Cowherd Podcast about the most undervalued NFL teams heading into the 2024 season.
“I think it’s Denver…Their over-under is 5.5…I think they’re like an eight-win team…I don’t think Denver’s going to be unwatchable,” Cowherd said.

With Sean Payton finally being able to coach the quarterback that he wants, the Broncos may finally be on the rise.
Rookie Bo Nix started over 60 games in college and in one of the best conferences in America last year in the Pac-12, he was the Player of the Year.
He won 43 games in college, and that experience could translate well under Payton.
Payton coached another longtime college quarterback in Drew Brees with the New Orleans Saints.
Brees ended up being one of the greatest signal-callers in NFL history.
Denver still has a long way to go in terms of contending for a possible championship.
But if Nix plays like he did towards the back-half of his college days, he has a No. 1 wide receiver in Courtland Sutton and a 1,000-yard scrimmage back in Javonte Williams.
With an improved defense in Cowherd’s eyes, this Broncos team can be a lot better than people think.
Over 5.5 wins sounds like it could be an easy bet if Cowherd is right in his analysis.
