To say that NFL players are big guys could be a huge understatement.
We’re talking about a physical league and a physical sport, and you have to be in top shape to withstand that kind of physical burden for a full season, let alone years.
That’s why, more often than not, scouts and executives tend to be worried when prospects aren’t particularly bulky or big.
Shorter prospects are often overlooked, and being light could be seen as a negative trait.
Nonetheless, there are always exceptions to that rule, and some guys prove that, despite being light, they can still make a big impact in the game.
That’s evident whenever Tank Dell takes the field.
NFL reporter Dov Kleiman recently shared the list of the lightest players in the league, and Dell, who weighs 165 pounds, shockingly made the cut.

The Houston Texans have big plans for Dell, who, despite his weight, is ironically referred to as ‘Tank.’
He’s much stronger than it seems at first glance, and it takes a big hit to knock him to the ground.
The Texans are expected to be one of the dark horses to come out of the AFC next season.
They doubled down on their commitment to CJ Stroud and Will Anderson Jr by making some big-name additions to the roster in the offseason, and they could have one of the most stacked offenses in the game in 2024.
Dell will have another chance to prove that he shouldn’t be counted out despite his weight — or lack thereof — and that he’s, in fact, a little tank.
