The San Francisco 49ers have more than enough talent to win the whole thing in 2024.
They were pretty close to hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy and putting an end to their Super Bowl drought last season, but some questionable decisions by Kyle Shanahan left the door wide open for Patrick Mahomes to win again.
Now, most of the talk is centered around Brandon Aiyuk and whether he’s going to stay there for years to come.
With that in mind, former NFL star Plaxico Burress claimed that the Niners must make sure that that’s the case, as he’s going to be the key to Brock Purdy’s maturation as a quarterback.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, Burress predicted that the Niners would eventually get a deal done with Aiyuk.
“Brock Purdy’s maturation as a quarterback depends on Brandon Aiyuk.”

However, he thinks that’ll happen after the season.
Whatever the case, Aiyuk is one of the best route-runners in the game, and as such, Purdy needs him out there to make his job easier.
There have been plenty of doubts about Purdy’s ability to lead the team to success.
That doesn’t make a lot of sense, as he’s done plenty of winning since he took the reins of the team, and he even stepped up big time in the playoffs.
For whatever reason, people hold all the talent around him against him, and even though that’s unfair, the Niners must make sure that the said talent is still on the premises in the foreseeable future, even if that means paying more than they would want to.
