There are less than two weeks to play in the MLB regular season.
That means each player has a few more games to present their case on specific season-long awards.
One race that is seemingly all but over is the National League Cy Young.
It was a highly contested race for most of the year but one pitcher separated himself down the stretch.
That pitcher is Blake Snell and he has been unstoppable over the second half of the season.
According to MLB on Twitter, Snell is ranked number one in the last Pitcher Power Rankings of the regular season.

Snell is all but a lock to win the NL Cy Young after his dominant year.
He has thrown 174 innings, allowing only 111 hits and an ERA of 2.33.
He also has 227 strikeouts in those innings.
The only negative around Snell is that he leads the league in walks with 97.
During September, Snell separated himself from the pack.
He has made four starts in the month and has an ERA of 0.72.
In 25 innings he has given up nine hits and two runs.
Snell has been great to finish off the year even if his team has struggled.
Second on the list is New York Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole.
He deserves to be mentioned because he is expected to be walking away with his first Cy Young award this year.
Cole has been the one bright spot in a dull season for the Yankees.
Even though both of these pitchers will not be in the playoffs, they are much deserving of the Cy Young in their respective leagues.
