The Washington Commanders made the franchise-altering decision to draft former Heisman winner Jayden Daniels out of LSU with the No. 2 overall draft pick.
This offseason, Daniels has been getting more and more acclimated to the NFL level with his new team.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, he is putting some fear into other squads and buildings.
“I’ve had multiple people this week bring up, unprompted-like, ‘I’m kind of scared to death of what Washington could be with Jayden Daniels’,” Fowler recently said on NFL Live.

What is scary about Daniels is his ability to both throw and run.
The All-American set the college football world on fire with his play in Baton Rouge over the last few seasons.
He combined for 78 total touchdowns in two seasons playing for head coach Brian Kelly.
In 2023, he threw for 3,812 yards and ran for 1,134 yards.
That right there is why he can change the scope of the Commanders.
His ability to do everything well is what can put stress on defenses.
He has a couple of weapons on offense in Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin, former Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz, and all-purpose back Austin Ekeler.
With brilliant offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury calling the shots on offense, this team can quickly become a potential power in the NFC.
But again, Daniels is still a rookie and Washington hasn’t had a winning record since 2016.
Regardless, the team is off on the right foot with him being their starter now and likely into the future.
