The Buffalo Bills went through a major turnaround this offseason, and that’s not always a good thing.
With Stefon Diggs being traded, Josh Allen was left with an unproven wide receiver room.
Their defense also took some hits, and it’s just hard to envision them being a better team now than they were in the past.
With that in mind, sports analyst Craig Carton claimed that he couldn’t fathom the fact that some people thought they would go over .500 next season.
Talking on The Carton Show, the renowned pundit talked about how much Allen could struggle.
“I can’t figure out how anybody thinks the Buffalo Bills are going to be an above .500 team this year.”

That’s not particularly good news, as Allen — as good a quarterback as he is — has a tendency to do too much when things aren’t going his way, and that only translates into reckless throws and avoidable turnovers.
The Bills haven’t been able to get over the hump during the Josh Allen era, primarily because they’ve been on the wrong end of some heartbreaking losses to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs.
Now, they’re going to have another prime opponent within their own division, as the New York Jets will join the race for the AFC East Division pennant.
Perhaps being a sub .500 team is a little too much and Carton is being overly pessimistic about the 2024-25 Buffalo Bills, but one thing’s for sure: This team could have a tough time keeping up with other powerhouses in the AFC, particularly against their nemesis: the reigning Super Bowl champions.
