Fewer NFL teams have as much potential as the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons have spent first-round draft capital on skill-position players in three straight drafts, hoping they could impact this offense.
Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson might have all been excellent prospects, but none of them have lived up to the hype at this point in their careers.
While there are a few reasons for the Falcons’ lack of success over the past few years, there is reason to believe that they could turn a corner in 2024.
Many people have pointed out that they now have Kirk Cousins on their roster, a veteran QB slated to help turn this team around.
He’s not the only new addition to this team, as the Falcons are heading into 2024 with a new head coach: Raheem Morris.
Morris is taking over for Arthur Smith, and if he lives up to the expectations that people are placing on him, the Falcons could be a completely renewed team.
Aaron Donald talked about this in a recent segment of the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, where he said, “I think he’s gonna be a great head coach.”

Donald and Morris overlapped from 2021-2023 with the Los Angeles Rams, as he was the team’s defensive coordinator for three seasons.
He has the respect of a legendary player like Donald, which should be a telling sign of what the Falcons players will think of him.
Morris has a lot of work to do to turn this team around, but he seems like the right man for the job.
