The New York Jets had massive expectations entering this season.
It was Aaron Rodgers’ first season with the team and they had Super Bowl aspirations.
Rodgers’ season lasted one drive before he was knocked out with a torn Achilles tendon.
Everyone thought Rodgers would be done for the year with this injury.
But, he has made it clear he thinks he can return at some point in December.
It seems like a lot has to go right for us to see Rodgers again.
Rodgers went on “The Pat McAfee Show” to discuss the possibility of him returning.
As shared by Adam Schefter, Rodgers said: “First, am I healthy, and then are we alive (for the playoffs).”

Even if Rodgers is healthy enough to return, the Jets still being alive does not seem feasible.
They are 4-7 and appear to be underdogs in each of their next three games.
If they lose all three the Jets will most likely be eliminated with a 4-10 record.
There would be no reason for Rodgers to return at that point.
New York has one of the worst offenses in the NFL this year.
Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle have started games in Rodgers’ absence and they have been a disaster.
It would be best for the future of this team if Rodgers does not return.
That way they can improve their draft position and get Rodgers to 100% come next offseason.
It is impressive how quickly Rodgers has recovered from this Achilles injury.
But, seeing him back on a football field in 2023 is a longshot.
