The Denver Broncos have once again been a mess this season.
They had sky-high expectations after trading for Russell Wilson and fell flat on their face last season.
The Broncos hoped Sean Payton would be the coach that could “fix” Wilson and get him back to a Pro Bowl level.
Wilson improved this year, but it was not enough to get the Broncos into contention.
The Broncos decided to bench Wilson for the final two games of the regular season.
Aaron Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee Show to talk about the Wilson situation.
“I think Russell Wilson has handled what happened in Denver pretty well and I applaud him for speaking on it. That’s a pretty scandalous situation and he was definitely playing better than he did last year,” Rodgers said.

This will most likely be Wilson’s final season in Denver.
With the way everything has played out, it’s very hard to see Wilson on the roster again next season.
There should be a handful of teams that are interested in the veteran.
The Broncos did not handle this Wilson situation very well this season.
He deserves better and it will be interesting to see where he ends up in 2024.
Looking across the quarterback landscape, Wilson is plenty capable of starting somewhere next season.
