The Green Bay Packers got off to a hot start to the 2023 NFL season, with Jordan Love and company crushing the division-rival Chicago Bears in Week 1, leading to a lot of people singing the praises of the team’s new starting quarterback.
Love put on a show in the 18-point win over the Bears, as he threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns and gave the franchise a lot of confidence that they have their successor to Aaron Rodgers under center.
The success continued in Week 2 with Love throwing for three more touchdowns without throwing an interception, but Green Bay came up short by one point against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Packers got back on track a week later in a thrilling win over the New Orleans Saints, with Love leading them to victory by scoring 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to get their second win of the season.
Unfortunately, Love and company have struggled since that brilliant late-game performance against the Saints, suffering consecutive losses to the Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders, prompting some criticism.
Rodgers felt compelled to come to his former teammate’s defense on Tuesday on “The Pat McAfee Show” by saying Love will go through some growing pains.

With the Packers being one of the most popular teams in the NFL, the pressure is always on for the storied franchise to succeed every year, regardless of the circumstances in Green Bay.
That’s no different this year with Love, as he’ll have to take the good with the bad in terms of criticism and praise.
