The New York Jets were able to build off their momentum after that narrow loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, getting a much-needed win on the road.
Not only was beating the Denver Broncos crucial in keeping their playoff hopes alive, but it also meant a little more this time.
Earlier in the offseason, Broncos HC Sean Payton took some huge shots at Nathaniel Hackett, putting him on blast for his failed stint in charge of the organization last season.
Hackett was later hired to be the New York Jets Offensive Coordinator, so the Jets as a whole took offense to those comments, and they made sure to make a statement on the win.
That’s why Aaron Rodgers — who also happens to be quite close to Hackett — took to Twitter to show his love and support for his coach after the win.

Notably, the Jets had their best offensive performance of the season.
Zach Wilson wasn’t as sharp as he was vs. Kansas City, but he’s getting a better hold of the offense as of late.
He threw for 199 yards and one interception while completing 19 of 26 passes, but it was RB Breece Hall as the one who stole the show.
The USC standout ran the ball 22 times for 177 yards and one touchdown, adding three catches for 17 yards.
The Jets put up 31 points on the Broncos, and while Denver’s defense has been far from good this season, it was still an encouraging performance, especially on the road.
Hackett’s offense was able to score six times (five field goals and one touchdown) and while they still have some issues to fix, they definitely got the last laugh over Sean Payton.
