Not only is it draft season in the NFL, but it is also trade season in a way too.
With the NFL Draft just a day away, certain teams are looking to be aggressive and trade up to get their top guy.
Apparently, one of the teams trying to trade up is the Minnesota Vikings.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via The Rich Eisen Show, the Vikings are “more desperate” to get up to the No. 3 pick.
“Minnesota is more desperate to get up there (to pick No. 3 overall). Minnesota has more ammunition to get up there,” Schefter said Wednesday.
Interesting nugget from @AdamSchefter via @RichEisenShow
“MN is more desperate to get up [to pick No. 3]. MN has more ammunition to get up there. The #Giants are more in striking range of getting up there… what in the end is more valuable? The more desperate team with… pic.twitter.com/uq7C9la12q

Schefter also added that the New York Giants are “within striking range” of the No. 3 overall pick.
So, perhaps they are interested in adding a new quarterback to replace Daniel Jones.
But, it is quite clear that the Vikings are very serious about doing whatever it takes to get the prospect that they want.
Perhaps they are not content with waiting until pick No. 11 to select their presumed quarterback.
Does that mean they also don’t want to wait for J.J. McCarthy?
Could they want someone such as Drake Maye or even Jayden Daniels?
Nobody knows what the endgame of Minnesota’s front office is.
Yes, they will more likely than not select a signal-caller with one of their first-round picks.
The question is how much they are willing to give up in an effort to select someone like Daniel or Maye.
Unless, do they think McCarthy won’t be available by the time they are on the clock?
It doesn’t get more intriguing than watching what the Vikings will do Thursday night.
