The Miami Dolphins lost a lot of key players this offseason, namely defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and guard Robert Hunt, and they are now looking to fill in the holes on the roster in the latter stages of free agency and the draft.
One area of need for the Dolphins is at wide receiver, where the depth outside of stars Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is questionable and one big name has been linked to the team for weeks.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the Dolphins are trying “pretty hard” to sign veteran Odell Beckham Jr., with the team making him at least one offer, but possibly two.

Both sides have reportedly remained in contact and there is apparently not a huge sense of urgency to get a deal done, as this has dragged on for the majority of the free-agency period.
Beckham has also been linked to the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, whose need for a wide receiver upgrade has been well-documented over the past year.
Beckham spent last year with the Baltimore Ravens and helped them to a run to the AFC Championship game, posting 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games.
The days of 1,400-yard, 14-touchdown seasons and making one-handed catches in the end zone might be gone, but Odell can still be a great help to a team.
Miami would be a logical destination for him to serve as a veteran complement to Hill and Waddle, so we’ll see if these two parties can eventually get a deal to the finish line.
