The Detroit Lions were so close to pulling off one of the biggest upsets in recent NFL history.
Dan Campbell’s team was up 17 points on the San Franciso 49ers on the road, yet they couldn’t hold onto that lead.
The Niners made some sound adjustments and caught some big breaks, and coach Campbell also made some questionable decisions that eventually doomed his team.
Nonetheless, the encouraging part about this team is that they’re mostly young and are only going to get better, so they should be right back in contention next season and for years to come.
That’s why star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown just wants to get back out there and compete again.
When asked about the Lions’ shortcomings this season and the big picture, he simply claimed that they have some unfinished business.
“We got some unfinished business,” Brown said.

Notably, St. Brown was stellar throughout the course of the season, logging a whopping 1,515 receiving yards to go along with ten touchdowns over 16 games.
He’s established himself as one of the best wideouts in the game, and his chemistry with QB Jared Goff is more than evident.
The Lions have no shortage of talent on offense, with Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta all being more than capable of putting up big numbers on any given night.
So, as much as the end of the season was a bit disappointing, no one should’ve been surprised by the fact that they made it that far to begin with.
