For the last few weeks, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has arguably played better than any other signal-caller in the NFL.
Prescott has elevated his play to a very high level this season, and it’s led to him being included in the conversation about legitimate candidates to win this year’s league MVP award.
NFL on Fox analyst Daryl Johnston recently shared his thoughts on Prescott being in the current MVP conversation, and he not only believes the Cowboys quarterback is deserving of the MVP talk, but Johnston thinks Prescott is currently the frontrunner for the award (via NFL on Fox Podcast on Twitter).

Prescott is currently leading the NFL in touchdown passes with 26 so far this season, and in his 12 games this year, he’s also completed 70.1 percent of his passes, averaged 269.5 passing yards per matchup, and thrown just six interceptions, which has all resulted in him currently having a 108.3 passer rating.
Those who don’t believe the Dallas quarterback should be the MVP frontrunner right now could point to the lack of difficult competition Prescott has had to face in the last few weeks.
Some of the Cowboys’ most recent games have come against a few of the worst teams in the NFL this season, including the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, and Washington Commanders.
But Prescott will have a great opportunity to prove his doubters wrong during Dallas’s final five games of the 2023 campaign, as he’ll be attempting to lead his team to wins over some of the league’s best teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions.
