The New York Jets have been one of the most active teams in the league during the offseason.
They knew they already had the pieces they needed on defense, so they focused on the other side of the field.
Now, most analysts have them giving Aaron Rodgers another weapon with their No. 10 pick, whether it’s WR Rome Udonze or TE Brock Bowers.
Nonetheless, NFL analyst — and Jets fan — Craig Carton believes they should go in a different direction.
Speaking on The Carton Show, he made a case for them taking an offensive tackle instead.

Carton argues that good wide receivers are always gettable, whether they’re young, old, or heading toward the end of their careers, and that’s not always the case with good offensive linemen.
He also believes the Jets have dropped the ball when it comes to finding offensive linemen way too many times, either because they’re not good enough, not properly developed, or they can’t stay healthy.
Carton thinks the Jets should go with Joe Alt out of Notre Dame, and while he’d be a home run of a pick for any team, chances are he won’t be available by the time they’re on the clock.
With that in mind, he claimed he wouldn’t even mind watching them trading down to get more assets instead of staying put at No. 10.
He makes a valid point, and the Jets do need plenty of offensive line help, so it’ll be interesting to see what Joe Douglas does with his first-round selection.
