The NFL Draft has seen thousands of players come and go, but there has always been one man standing — or sitting, for what it’s worth.
Mel Kiper Jr. has done outstanding coverage in the weeks leading to, during, and after the most important event of the NFL offseason for four decades now.
His work fills social media and the internet with debate, and he’s managed to stay relevant and at the top of his game as the most — or one of the most — authorized voices in the industry when it comes to the NFL Draft, and he deserves plenty of credit for that.
With that in mind, renowned NFL scout Matt Miller took some time during the draft broadcast to advocate for Kiper Jr. to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (via Bob Snedeker).
This is so true. The NFL Draft is the spectacle it is because, in large part, to Mel Kiper Jr. He should be in the HoF pic.twitter.com/9GRmY1iUK6

He praised him for the incredible work he’s done throughout the course of the years, adding that the broadcast wouldn’t even be possible or that he wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for Mel Kiper Jr.
Of course, Kiper was humbled and was humble about that statement, but Miller was absolutely on point.
It’s literally impossible to have a perfect track record in this line of business, especially considering he’s seen — literally — thousands of players enter the league.
Make or miss, Kiper Jr. has always shown up prepared to work, and his reviews have always been sound and thorough.
