It’s been a long time since the New York Jets were relevant on the football field.
Being in one of the largest sports markets on Earth, they’ve always been a big part of the news cycle, but rarely for the right reasons.
Now, they have absolutely everything they need to get over the hump once and for all.
That’s why former NFL player Willie Colon is sick and tired of watching them struggle and wants to see some improvement once and for all.
Talking on The Carton Show, the former Pittsburgh Steelers player talked about how it’s time for the Jets to finally turn the narrative around.
“I wanna see improvement. I’m SO TIRED of the negative headlines that come out of New York in reference to the Jets,” Colon said.

Truth be told, he has a bit of a valid point right there.
They’ve finally landed their franchise quarterback with a healthy Aaron Rodgers, and they revamped their shaky offensive line by adding Tyron Smith at left tackle.
They also have Mike Williams to complement Garrett Wilson, and Breece Hall looks like a superstar in the making at the running back position.
Their defense was already elite, so there’s no reason to think they shouldn’t be a legitimate Super Bowl contender next season, even out of a complicated division like the AFC East.
Anything short of a postseason berth and a deep playoff push could and should put an end to Robert Saleh’s and Joe Douglas’ tenure calling the shots for this organization.
So, Colon is more than right; it’s about time this team finally takes a big leap forward and gets over the hump.
