Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes didn’t let a road playoff game stop him from his sixth consecutive AFC Championship Game appearance.
Mahomes and company took down the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, New York, on Sunday night behind a good offense and a quality defensive showing.
So even during a season when the Chiefs look like the weakest version of themselves, Mahomes managed to find a way to get back into the conference title game despite a lot of ups and downs during the regular season.
With that in mind, veteran reporter Frank Isola noted that Mahomes gives him the same vibe as vintage Michael Jordan during his years with the Chicago Bulls because of how unflappable Mahomes looks at all times, via SiriusXM NBA Radio.
“Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City he’s got a little – for me – he’s got a little bit of a Michael Jordan quality to him,” Isola said. “I never thought Michael Jordan was going to lose … it’s the same thing with Patrick Mahomes. I never think he’s going to lose a regular-season game.”

This is one of the greatest compliments anyone can give any athlete considering Jordan’s status as arguably the greatest basketball player of all time.
Mahomes doesn’t have nearly as many championships as Jordan did, but he’s proven to be just as unbeatable when the game is on the line.
That mentality exemplified Jordan’s tenure in the NBA as well, and it stands to reason Mahomes could ascend to that level of greatness as his NFL career progresses.
Mahomes has a few big-name quarterbacks to leapfrog before can reach the same level as Jordan did in his respective sport, though, including Tom Brady.
