The Los Angeles Rams might have started the year slowly, but they have started turning it around as time passes.
Matthew Stafford’s play has been a significant catalyst for that.
As analyst Louis Riddick recently tweeted, his brilliance as a passer is nothing new.
Riddick highlighted that Stafford performed similarly in Detroit, but nobody seemed to care because the team wasn’t winning.
For YEARS it was said that Stafford wasn’t a top tier QB and many went out of their way to blame him for everything that Detroit could not accomplish. As if he should have performed miracles and made it all work for all three phases of the game by himself.
Now… people climb…

This is a stark contrast from the current opinions surrounding Stafford, as he is given a lot of praise.
After all, he helped the Rams win a Super Bowl in 2021, the first of his career.
As Riddick calls out, having a competent coach, organization, and teammates can do wonders for a player’s career.
With all this in mind, Stafford has turned the Rams around this season as he and his teammates get healthier.
They now have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs and make some noise if they make it to the big dance.
The Rams have an 8-7 record after beating the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football.
The Rams should be in a good spot, depending on what happens this weekend.
If they win out, they are nearly guaranteed a playoff spot, given the current state of the NFC.
Losing complicates things, especially when they take on the San Francisco 49ers in the last week of the season.
However, if the 49ers have already locked up the division and the No. 1 spot in the NFC, they might rest their starters ahead of the playoffs.
This could lead to Stafford’s Rams having a better chance to beat them to get into the playoffs.
