The Carolina Panthers went all-in during the 2023 NFL offseason, trading away significant capital to acquire the No. 1 overall pick.
The organization made it very clear that they have the utmost confidence in Bryce Young to lead their team moving forward.
While they are confident in his future, year one hasn’t gone quite as expected.
Young has only led the team to one victory thus far, leaving the Panthers with the worst record in the league.
Analyst Greg Cosell recently broke down Young’s play in a recent appearance on the “Ross Tucker Podcast.”
“He leaves too many throws on the field that are there by NFL standards,” Cosell said.

Cosell believes that Young has a lot of work to do if he wants to stay in the NFL for a long time.
Having a solid quarterback is the foundation of prolonged success in the NFL.
Without it, teams fight an uphill battle for meaningful playoff success, no matter how the rest of their team performs.
Young might figure it out, but when comparing him to fellow rookie C.J. Stroud, he is underwhelming expectations.
Stroud is not only a frontrunner for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but he has been mentioned in the MVP conversation as well.
Young has a long way to go in that manner.
For now, he’ll work hard to get back on track for the back half of his rookie year.
It will be interesting to see how the organization attacks the offseason based on Young’s play over the next several weeks.
