The New England Patriots have looked nothing like the dynasty they’ve become known for in recent years which led to the dismissal of former head coach Bill Belichick.
Belichick spent 24 years in New England and led them to six Super Bowl titles, but now finds himself in the job market.
There were several intriguing head coaching vacancies open, but most of those positions have filled up and left many wondering where Belichick will end up.
The future Hall of Fame head coach was linked to the Atlanta Falcons but that job went to Raheem Morris.
Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is considered the favorite to land the Washington Commanders job, leaving Belichick without many options.
John Middlekauff believes that a stint on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football broadcast would lead to another head coaching opportunity via The Volume.
“If I’m Belichick and I desire to be a coach again, I got to be on TV and I think if I’m Amazon I’d want all of Belichick” Middlekauff said.
“Having a platform and changing the narrative: it works”

It’s not a bad idea for Belichick to dip his toes into broadcasting as he’s shown a lighter side to him in the past.
For example, he was invited as the guest host on College Gameday for the annual Army versus Navy game and did well.
Belichick not being able to land one of the open head coaching jobs was a shock to say the least, though he should land back on his feet shortly.
However, whether that’s in the broadcast booth or on the sidelines remains to be seen.
