The NFL playoff picture is as wide-open as it’ll be.
Even though we already know about some teams that definitely won’t be in the mix for a postseason berth, multiple teams could still crash the party and shock the world.
In his recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, NFL analyst Michael Lombardi stated that people should keep an eye on the Indianapolis Colts.
“I think Shane Steichen has done a great job in Indianapolis..
Their schedule is very favorable to finish the season” ~ @mlombardiNFL #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/xeOKTNlTnZ

Lombardi pointed out the fact that the Colts have a favorable schedule, just like the Cleveland Browns, but the Browns have been fairly inconsistent as of late.
He praised HC Shane Steichen for what he’s done with the hand he’s been given.
Truth be told, the Colts have been one of the most consistent teams in the league this season, finding ways to win games despite losing Anthony Richardson so early in the season, and regardless of Jonathan Taylor’s availability and some underperforming defensive players.
Steichen’s first year in charge of the team has to be considered a big success even if they don’t make the playoffs, as they look like they’re just a piece away from being a legitimate contender, and that piece might be on their roster already; he’s just hurt.
It’s not usual to see first-year HCs making such a quick impact on their teams, let alone with so many injuries and after years of underperforming.
Colts fans have to feel great about themselves right now, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see them making the playoffs this very season.
