The New Orleans Saints might be the most underwhelming team in the league during the 2023 NFL season as they’ve got so much talent on both sides of the football but have a sub-.500 record.
The Saints came into the season as the favorites to win the NFC South, but they currently sit in third in the division and are more likely to miss the playoffs altogether.
Despite making a splash in the offseason when they signed Derek Carr, New Orleans’ offense has been one of the most bland and predictable.
The defense has done enough to keep the team in games, but offensively Carr doesn’t seem to have complete control of the system.
There isn’t one particular thing that seems to be an issue and Greg Olsen himself had trouble pinpointing where exactly the problem is via FOX.
“The worst part about this Saints team is figuring out exactly what the clear issue is,” Olsen said.

Olsen acknowledges that when evaluating the Saints’ offense play-by-play there isn’t anything being done wrong.
However, the former tight end goes on to say that when watching the entire game flow then there seem to be breakdowns that lead to stalled-out drives.
New Orleans’ postseason hopes are hanging on by a thread as they have yet to be mathematically eliminated, but they face a tough challenge in Week 17 when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who will be looking to firm up their hold on the division.
If Carr can get on the same page as the rest of his offense, then perhaps New Orleans can sneak a win on the road.
