The NFL schedule-makers have not done the Kansas City Chiefs any favors to start the season.
Despite being at home for the first few weeks, the Super Bowl champs will welcome in the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals in back-to-back weeks.
Fox Sports’s Craig Carton doesn’t think Kansas City will start the season off on the right foot.
“The Kansas City Chiefs are going to start the year 0-2 with both losses coming at home,” Carton aggressively predicted recently on The Carton Show.

There has never been a team that has won three consecutive Super Bowls in the history of the NFL.
It seems like that history isn’t on Kansas City’s side in terms of the beginning of their schedule and in the minds of pundits.
Baltimore and Cincinnati also could be the Chiefs’ biggest competitors this season.
Despite beating Baltimore in the AFC Championship Game in January, the Chiefs will face a better Ravens team this year.
They did add Derrick Henry after all, and All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews is fully healthy.
Speaking of fully healthy, Bengals Pro Bowl quarterback Joe Burrow appears to be getting healthier and healthier by the minute.
After his 2023 season ended early due to a wrist injury, the former national champion is back and should be raring to go.
If Baltimore has a better roster and if the Bengals, who have beaten the Chiefs in 3 of the last 5 matchups, are healthy, it might not be such an easy task for Kansas City to beat both.
Carton might be on to something.
