Week 13 of the 2023 NFL Season is upon us.
This is typically the point of the year when MVP candidates are established, and one or two players seem to be in line for this prestigious award.
While there have not been any runaway front-runners, one player has stood out above the rest, at least to Good Morning Football’s Kyle Brandt.
Brandt made his case for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, believing he is doing enough to deserve this award.
“They’ve never had a QB win MVP. Dak is playing better than any Cowboys QB in decades.”@KyleBrandt pic.twitter.com/LEZa8jpHtw

As Brandt mentions, the Cowboys have never had a quarterback win MVP.
He also believes that Prescott is the Cowboys’ best quarterback “in decades,” an impressive accolade given the prestige of this organization.
Prescott has the second-best odds to win MVP, according to BetMGM’s current betting offering.
Only Jalen Hurts has better odds at this point in the season, an interesting coincidence given the Cowboys’ upcoming meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles.
This will be a prime opportunity for the top two candidates to face off, perhaps giving one an edge over the other for the remainder of the season.
Even if Prescott does not win the award, he has played well enough throughout the year to quiet any of his preseason doubters.
There was a lot of criticism about Prescott heading into the year, as many believed he could not play at a high level for much longer. particularly against elite opponents.
Prescott has set out to prove them wrong and bring the Cowboys to a significant playoff run when the regular season concludes.
