The Dallas Cowboys might not have it so easy with their schedule this season.
After winning 12 games and the NFC East last season, they are playing a first-place schedule with plenty of quality teams.
To start off the season, they will face the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland, the New Orleans Saints at home, the Baltimore Ravens at home, the rival New York Giants on the road, the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road, and then the Detroit Lions at home before the Week 7 bye.
Fox Sports’s Craig Carton believes they will start with a record of 3-3 after that stretch.
“3-3 is the best case scenario for the Dallas Cowboys going into the bye-week,” Carton recently said.

Dallas will face good teams, on paper at least, later on in the year such as the San Francisco 49ers, the Philadelphia Eagles (twice), the Houston Texans, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It is paramount that they either get off to a good start or hold serve to prevent themselves from falling into a hole early on.
In a division with the Philadelphia Eagles and in a conference with the San Francisco 49ers, the Detroit Lions, and the Green Bay Packers, winning nine games isn’t going to net much because of that level of competition.
If Dallas wants to set themselves up for another 12-win season and a possible Super Bowl run, they need to take care of business early on.
Judging by Carton’s comments, things could get dicey earlier on for head coach Mike McCarthy and Co.
