The Detroit Lions made a huge statement last night.
Not only did they win the game, but they also proved that they’re not scared to be uber-aggressive and will continue to live and die by their own decisions.
Coach Dan Campbell made sure that the Los Angeles Rams wouldn’t get the ball again, and he managed to hold onto a hard-fought one-point win.
So, now that they’re waiting on either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC Divisional Round, NFL analyst Craig Carton has a strong prediction in place.
Talking on The Carton Show, the pundit stated that the Lions would face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, going as far as to say that it ‘was a wrap already.’
“The Lions are playing the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game. It is a wrap,” Carton said.

The Niners will host the red-hot Green Bay Packers in the upcoming round, and while the Packers shocked the world with that massive upset over the Dallas Cowboys, they shouldn’t fare that well against a more experienced, more talented, and more proven team like Kyle Shanahan’s.
As for the Lions, they should be favored against both the Eagles and the Bucs.
Even if the Eagles manage to get past their late-season meltdown to get on top of the Bucs on the road, they just don’t have the momentum to go to Detroit and steal a game from the Lions.
As for the Bucs, they do have a solid defense, but they might not have an offense capable of keeping up with Jared Goff and company.
