Tonight’s TNF matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills could have some serious playoff implications.
On one side, you have the sluggish Bills looking to get back on their feet after a shocking loss to the New England Patriots.
On the other hand, you have the Bucs with an injured Baker Mayfield limping his way to the field and looking to avoid losing more ground in the race for the top of the NFC South.
With that in mind, Craig Carton stated on his show that the Bills could have some issues against the Buccaneers, citing that they have at least one absence at every level of their defense, not to mention the fact that Josh Allen has been inconsistent and up and down.
Willie Colon added that the Bills have looked shaky in four of their seven games, doubting their status as a Super Bowl contender right now.
“It is Baker Mayfield against Josh Allen, the Bills win easily.”

However, even though those are all valid points, David Jacoby believes there isn’t too much to read into this game, as the Bills should win easily because it all goes down to it being Baker Mayfield vs. Josh Allen.
Mayfield had played very well in his first three games, and not so much in the others.
As for Allen, you never know what version of him you’ll get, and the Bucs do have a nice defense.
At the end of the day, it’s hard to make something out of two inconsistent teams that win when they’re supposed to lose and vice versa.
