After a slow start to the year, the Cincinnati Bengals have started to turn things around, finding themselves with a 6-6 record.
This turnaround has been remarkable, given the season-ending injury to Joe Burrow.
While Burrow’s injury might have incited panic within the fanbase and organization, the team seems unbothered.
As Craig Carton recently pointed out in a segment of his show, “The Bengals are alive and will be alive for another couple weeks.”
“All of these games matter. I don’t think the Cincinnati Bengals are going to embarrass themselves. The Bengals are alive and will be alive for another couple weeks.”

Carton’s crew looked at the AFC playoff picture, noting the Bengals are still well within the playoff hunt.
At 6-6, they are a game behind the three Wild Card teams, who are all 7-5.
The good news for the Bengals is that they still play two of those teams.
They meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers in three weeks and play the Cleveland Browns in the last game of the regular season.
The Bengals can significantly improve their standing within the AFC with wins in these games.
In a sense, the Bengals control their own playoff destiny.
Winning their next five games would nearly guarantee a playoff spot for this team, who, at one point, seemed out of the race as a whole.
Jake Browning is tasked with leading this team moving forward, hoping to do his best Burrow impression for the remainder of the year.
The locker room is starting to rally around him, evidenced in their latest win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
For an organization that has made the AFC Championship for the last two years, a playoff berth, at minimum, seems expected from the fanbase.
