The New York Giants have had a season to forget, and everybody within the organization would just love to hit the ‘skip’ button and get these games over with.
They don’t even have a starting-caliber quarterback at this point, and it shouldn’t matter at all, as they will most likely be in a position to get the No. 1 or No. 2 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
That’s why even though they’ve usually fared quite well against the Washington Commanders, NFL analyst Pat Leonard strongly predicted that the Commanders would easily beat them next Sunday (via JP Finlay).
Strong from @PLeonardNYDN about Week 11 matchup: “The Giants lose to everybody but always beat Washington. That ends this week. Washington wins.”

The Giants did manage to beat the Commanders 14-7 earlier in the season, but a lot has transpired ever since.
Undrafted rookie QB Tommy DeVito will have his hands full against the Commanders’ pass-rush.
And while the Giants’ defense did an outstanding job against Sam Howell and company, Eric Bieniemy’s offense should look quite different as he usually makes sound adjustments against divisional rivals.
The Commanders still have a shot to make the playoffs.
At 4-6, their odds aren’t great, especially considering they share the division with the likes of the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, but they still have seven games to finish the season strong and make a late push.
As for the Giants, they’ve only won two games this season, and that’s not likely to change for the remainder of the campaign.
It isn’t in their best interests either, as it would only hurt their chances of getting a high pick and with it, potentially, their next franchise quarterback.
