Quarterback is the most important position in sports and the league will be carefully watching how the 2024 NFL Draft unfolds as it contains some of the best quarterback prospects in recent memory.
With several quarterback-needy teams holding picks at the top of the draft, some lucky franchises will see their fortunes turn once it’s their turn to pick.
The Chicago Bears hold the first overall pick and are expected to take Caleb Williams out of USC, though other teams are high on LSU’s Jayden Daniels who improved a lot during 2023 en route to winning the Heisman Trophy.
However, Williams and Daniels are just two of the many signal callers who are expected to go in the first round of the draft.
Former NFL quarterback David Carr has been studying the players at the position and is excited about two prospects in particular via NFL Network.
“There’s two quarterbacks that I look at when I see that list and I think ‘I want to see these guys throw against other guys.’ Drake Maye is number one…the other guy is Bo Nix,” Carr said.

Drake Maye is generally considered the second-best prospect behind Williams because of his strong arm, athleticism, and prototypical size.
Meanwhile, Bo Nix isn’t generating as much buzz but is seen as a player with plenty of positives and experience.
While Maye is expected to go within the first three picks, Nix’s range of outcomes is far wider as he could go as high as the middle of the first or slip into the early stages of Day 2.
