The Denver Broncos won’t have Russell Wilson on their roster anymore, which is far from a surprise at this point.
Wilson’s two-year stint at Mile High was the worst of his career, and his reputation took a huge hit.
Now, they’ll be in the market for a replacement, but that won’t be an easy thing to do.
They’ll have to trade up to get into the top ten if they want a chance at any of the top QB prospects.
Considering that, Zac Stevens of DNVR thinks that they should look at Kirk Cousins instead.
“If you were to get Kirk Cousins, that is THE dream signing for the Broncos right now,” Stevens said.

He stated that as much as a young player could end up being better than Cousins in the long run, they want to win now, not in two or three years.
He also thinks that Cousins could get them closer to championship contention at the moment, even if he’s coming off a major injury.
That makes sense, but Cousins isn’t exempt from risks.
He’s 35 years old, has a long history of shortcomings, and is going to make a lot of money.
They will already pay Russell Wilson a lot of money not to play for them, all while absorbing a $85 million dead cap hit, the largest in NFL history.
On top of that, they would likely have to compete with the Atlanta Falcons for his services, and engaging in a bidding war might lead them to overpay.
As things stand now, there are no easy decisions for Sean Payton and the Broncos’ front office.
