Super Bowl LVIII is slowly approaching, and it is a game that promises to be very competitive and possibly memorable.
It will be a rematch of Super Bowl LIV when Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs overcame a late 10-point deficit to defeat the San Francisco 49ers, 31-20.
Both teams are somewhat different now than they were four years ago, especially the 49ers, who have more weapons this time around.
Their biggest change has come at the quarterback position, where Brock Purdy has replaced Jimmy Garoppolo, and according to James Jones of FS1’s “Speak,” he has the “most to gain” from winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Just about everyone is familiar with Purdy’s story by now — he was the last player chosen in the 2022 draft, and he took over for the injured Garoppolo in Week 13 last season.
Since taking over the starting job, he has been mostly brilliant, and he led San Francisco to two come-from-behind wins in their first two games of the playoffs to get them to the big game.
Jones said that win or lose, if Purdy plays well, he will cement his status as a true franchise QB moving forward, but if he plays poorly, he will be seen as a player who is no better than Garoppolo, who is considered merely a slightly above-average signal-caller.
A strong performance and a win this Sunday would perhaps make Purdy the greatest Cinderella story in NFL history outside of Kurt Warner, who went undrafted before winning the regular season and Super Bowl MVPs in the 1999 season.
