The San Francisco 49ers managed to weather the storm.
Following a three-game skid, Kyle Shanahan’s team came out of the BYE week swinging.
Getting back to full strength was key for the team, and they’ve been on a roll ever since.
That’s why NFL analyst David Helman believes they’re currently the team to beat in the league.
Talking on the NFL on FOX Podcast, he explained how the Niners aren’t just beating teams, but they’re also beating the best teams.

He pointed out the fact that they steamrolled past both the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, meaning they pretty much have no rival in the NFC.
Truth be told, Shanahan’s squad seems like a perfectly-tuned machine on both sides of the gridiron.
Adding Chase Young to an already dominant defensive line has brought out the best of Nick Bosa, who got off to a slow start to the season after holding out as he negotiated a new contract.
Brock Purdy might not be the most impressive quarterback in the game, but he gets the job done, takes good care of the football, and knows how to maximize their offense, and that’s all they need right now.
The Cowboys are peaking at the right time and they don’t look like the same team the Niners thrashed earlier in the season.
Then again, they’ve had their number for the past couple of years, and you just have to love their chances to go the distance and reach the big game out of the NFC.
