The Dallas Cowboys have looked like the best team in the NFL for stretches.
But that loss to the Arizona Cardinals left a lot to be desired, and some people were already reluctant to give them the nod as the team to beat this season.
That’s why most analysts are waiting to see just how they fare when they face the 4-0 San Francisco 49ers, a team that has had their number as of late, especially in the playoffs.
That includes former NFL star Greg Jennings, who’s still not entirely sold on the Cowboys as a team and thinks it’s time we actually see them perform on both sides of the field (via The Carton Show).
“As great as the Dallas Cowboys look in their wins, we don’t know if this is truly an elite team. We know this is an elite defense.”

Jennings explained that as good as the Cowboys have looked in their wins, we know they have an elite defense, but we don’t know if they have an elite team that can play all three facets of the game.
He pointed out that Dak Prescott and the offense failed their teammates when they needed them to step up against Arizona, and that could be a lingering issue for the remainder of the season.
This Cowboys team looks legit, and there’s a chance this is the year they finally get over the hump and put an end to their Super Bowl drought.
But at the same time, it’s hard to judge people who don’t fully trust them, because we’ve seen them start hot and then fall flat so many times in the past.
