After getting humbled in Week 3 by the Arizona Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys responded in a huge way as they dismantled the New England Patriots in Week 4.
Clearly more motivated to prove that their showing against the Cardinals wasn’t indicative of the team they are, the Cowboys got after it right from kickoff as they raced out to a 10-3 lead.
They then scored 18 unanswered points in the second quarter, effectively ending the game before halftime.
Dak Prescott didn’t have to work too hard during the afternoon as he was able to get through his progressions and spread the ball around efficiently.
Prescott ended the day completing 28 of his 34 pass attempts for 261 yards and one touchdown.
The Cowboys quarterback may not be putting up huge offensive numbers, but Emmanuel Acho made sure to point out one improvement he’s made so far via his Twitter account.
Not sure if anybody has said this nationally, but…
*taps mic*
Dak Prescott only has 1 interception through 4 weeks. The other 3 NFC East QB’s have combined for 14 interceptions. #CowboysNation @BloggingTheBoys pic.twitter.com/5NzygDWmQz

Acho points out that Prescott hasn’t been forced to throw as much because the defense has been able to hold their own and put the Cowboys in positive game situations.
Acho does note that the one interception Prescott has thrown came against the Cardinals though the team was in a situation where they needed to throw to catch up.
Taking care of the football is every team’s priority and so far Prescott is doing the right thing by not forcing throws that aren’t there.
With the defense playing so well, Prescott is able to play a little looser though that could change in Week 5 when they have a marquee matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
