The Philadelphia Eagles are back in the win column after getting their first loss of the season.
Nick Sirianni’s team bounced back in a big way and made a huge statement against the Miami Dolphins.
The defense completely shut down their running game and proved again to be one of the most dominant in the league, and the offense did more than enough to get the job done as well.
However, and despite their 6-1 record, NFL analyst Craig Carton believes Jalen Hurts is no longer the player he was last season (via The Carton Show).
“From a Philly standpoint, they’re a playoff lock. They’ll probably win the division as well. BUT Jalen Hurts is not the same dude he was a year ago.”

While he still thinks he’s been good, he pointed out the fact that he has already thrown more interceptions (8) than last season, adding that he also fumbles the ball a lot.
Carton stated that Hurts has been inconsistent this season, and that’s a fact.
He also believes that the Eagles must rebuild their running attack around him if they want to be at their best, meaning that he may not be what they need to lead them to success.
Needless to say, GM Howie Roseman has the utmost confidence in him.
Otherwise, he would’ve never signed him to such a huge contract extension
But it’s not the first time that we’ve seen a player fall off a cliff right after signing a big deal, and he’ll have to prove that last season’s MVP-caliber campaign was more than just a fluke.
Fortunately, he has the supporting cast and the coaching to do it.
