The New York Jets season continued to roll off the rails after they were shutout out in Week 15 by the Miami Dolphins.
Neither Zach Wilson nor Trevor Siemian could muster any offense, and the defense gave up its most points since … the last time they played the Dolphins back in Week 12.
A lot of the issues stem from the offense’s lack of an identity since quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury, and things never got better despite some few spots of success.
And with only three games left, the team could have some serious conversations about the direction of the franchise under head coach Robert Saleh.
SNY reporter Connor Hughes noted that Saleh is on the verge of losing the locker room after the team’s most recent debilitating loss.
“I don’t believe that Robert Saleh has lost this Jets locker room,” Hughes said, “but I do believe that that is dangerously close to happening.”

Saleh has three games to turn things around, although the matchups aren’t ideal.
The Week 16 match vs. the Washington Commanders could be a nice pick-me-up game, as Washington has the worst defense in the NFL and an inconsistent offense.
But games against the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots to end the season might not be so easy.
Cleveland has the best defense in the league, is bound for the postseason, and currently led by former Jets quarterback Joe Flacco.
The Patriots are one of the worst teams in the NFL but always play well against the Jets.
