The NFL Draft is just three days away, and anything can happen at this point.
Some teams will look to move up in the first round, and while that might not be easy or cheap, desperation could lead to some major moves.
With that in mind, SNY insider Connor Hughes believes the Minnesota Vikings are likely to climb all the way to the top five (via Giants Videos).
The Vikings are “believed to be the favorites” to get J.J. McCarthy in the 2024 NFL Draft, per @Connor_J_Hughes:

Apparently, the Vikings are the favorites to jump all the way to No. 5 to get Michigan star QB J.J. McCarthy.
And even if the New York Giants are also looking to trade up or get him, they might not have the ammo to trade up to No. 4 or No. 5 with the Arizona Cardinals or Los Angeles Chargers.
The Vikings are also reportedly keeping tabs on Drake Maye.
But with the New England Patriots also liking him and slated to be on the clock at No. 3, it would take a massive haul of draft picks to get them to trade down with any team, including the Vikings.
Should the Giants stay put at No. 6, the consensus is that they would go after a wide receiver, with LSU star Malik Nabers as the likeliest choice, given that Marvin Harrison Jr. could already be out of the picture by the time they’re on the clock.
That would finally give them a legitimate WR1 to work with, and that would obviously make life easier for Daniel Jones or whoever they have behind center at the start of the season.
