The New England Patriots have many needs to address right now.
Needless to say, the most obvious one might be their need for a franchise-caliber quarterback, and most analysts and fans would rather see them getting either Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels with that pick.
Notably, NFL insider Field Yates seems to feel the same way.
Talking to Mina Kimes, he explained that the only way the Patriots could consider trading down from the No. 3 pick is if they know for a fact that they could get Justin Fields and flip that pick into multiple valuable assets.
“The Patriots at #3 are the most interesting pick of the draft,” Kimes said.
The Patriots at #3 are the most interesting pick of the draft. Should they…
A. Take a QB (Daniels?)
B. Pick Marvin Harrison Jr
C. Trade downDiscussed the biggest questions of draft season with @FieldYates!

He also said he would be against that move, as he believes all three quarterbacks in the top three would be able to find some level of success regardless of the situation.
Truth be told, the Patriots need more than just a quarterback.
Their offensive line could use a ton of work, and they have arguably the least talented wide receiver room in the game.
The Patriots have a new coaching staff, and they might also have a different assessment of the core.
They could also look to pivot and go in a different direction by taking, say, Marvin Harrison Jr., who’s deemed as one of the greatest wide receiver prospects of all time.
At the end of the day, it takes a lot to turn a team around, and it doesn’t seem like the Patriots will be picking outside of the top 10 for the foreseeable future, at least not for another season.
