Immediately after the 2023 NFL season came to an end for the Atlanta Falcons, with the team falling to the division-rival New Orleans Saints in their season finale, the team chose to part ways with head coach Arthur Smith.
Along with looking for a new head coach, the Falcons made it abundantly clear that the team’s No. 1 priority during the NFL offseason would be upgrading the quarterback position, meaning Desmond Ridder’s days as the starter were numbered.
Fortunately for Atlanta, the team had no shortage of options at head coach and quarterback, and now the team has found the two men that will lead them into the future at those positions.
The Falcons hired Raheem Morris to be Smith’s successor as head coach while also signing veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins to a four-year deal to take over under center.
With new leadership on the sideline and on the field, the Falcons are getting some buzz as a team that would be a force to be reckoned with moving forward, with Adam Schein of CBS Sports singing the team’s praises via Mad Dog Sports Radio.
“I look at this Atlanta Falcons team as one that’s absolutely going to rock and roll,” Schein said.

Cousins is arguably the missing piece to the puzzle in Atlanta, with the team having some of the best young talent in the league on the offensive side of the football.
The Falcons have Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts at Cousins’ disposal moving forward, which means this team could be quite entertaining next season with the NFL playoffs on their mind.
