The Dallas Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl in quite a while, and it feels like their title window could close right before their eyes.
This is the best they’ve looked in quite a while, and a lot of that has had to do with Dak Prescott, who enters the playoffs after the best season of his career.
That’s why former NFL player James Jones believes these playoffs could be legacy-defining for the Cowboys’ quarterback.
Talking on FOX’s SPEAK, the former Super Bowl champion argued that all the talk about Prescott has always been about him not being able to get the job done in the playoffs.
“This is about legacy for Dak. When you bring up Dak Prescott’s name, the only thing we say is, he don’t get it done in the playoffs,” Jones said.

He stated that this was the perfect opportunity to turn that narrative around, as they could have at least two postseason games at home, where they’re 8-0, and he has the supporting cast to get the job done.
No one will care about his regular-season stats or what he did earlier in the campaign.
If he fails to get the job done, it’ll all come down to the very same thing, and it’s going to be almost impossible to turn that narrative around.
Prescott is also playing for his next contract.
He’s almost a lock to stay with the Dallas Cowboys, but another collapse in the postseason could raise questions about how much money he’s going to get, or even the length of his impending deal.
The table is set for the Cowboys to go the distance, and all eyes will be set on their often-criticized signal-caller.
