The Baltimore Ravens are coming off their most impressive performance of the regular season to date, and one could even argue it also was the most impressive performance in Lamar Jackson’s career.
The Louisville product made plays with his feet and was at his best as a passer as well, completing 21 of 27 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns while adding nine rushes for 36 yards and an additional score.
The Ravens dominated from start to finish with a 38-6 win, forcing the Detroit Lions to play catch-up from the very beginning.
That’s why former NFL star Willie Colon believes Jackson is on pace to win his second MVP award if he keeps up this level of play, as he’s been spectacular.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, he and Craig Carton debated about the award, and they both agreed that other players, like Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovaialoa, have recently lost some ground in the race.
“If Lamar Jackson continues to play like that, scratch it, he’s going to take away the regular season MVP.”

Jackson has been quite solid this season.
He’s completed over 71% of his passes for 1,610 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions.
He’s also been deadly on the ground, rushing 69 times for 363 yards and five additional scores.
The Ravens were expected to fare much better offensively this season, with Todd Monken taking over as offensive coordinator over Greg Roman, and that’s been pretty much the case thus far.
Jackson is silencing the critics and those who believe he’s not a good passer, looking poised and calmed in the pocket and finding the open man over and over.
