After a disastrous start to his stint with the New York Jets, with superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in his first game with the team last season, the four-time NFL MVP knows the pressure will be on during the 2024 NFL season to produce results.
During a recent Jets press conference, Rodgers admitted that the pressure is all on him to make the team a legitimate Super Bowl title contender next season and get the squad to live up to expectations or the consequences could be quite costly for everyone involved.
Rodgers made it clear that the Jets could clean house after the 2024 campaign if the team fails to live up to expectations, which at this point could be Super Bowl or bust.
Obviously, that’s a tall order for any aging veteran quarterback, let alone one coming off an Achilles injury, but he seems up to the task, as Jason McIntyre of FOX Sports believes he’s embracing the villain role once again, via “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
“Aaron Rodgers wants to be the villain,” McIntyre said. “He has thrived on being the villain throughout his career.”

At this point in time, the odds are not in Rodgers’ favor of rebounding with a vengeance and resembling the quarterback who won four NFL MVPs and a Super Bowl title with the Green Bay Packers.
However, if he is able to do that next season with the Jets, he’ll instantly become a legend in New York, following in the footsteps of legendary Hall of Famer Joe Namath.
