New York Jets fans might not be the happiest bunch after hearing about their star quarterback missing the start of mandatory minicamp.
That’s right, Aaron Rodgers did not report to the team’s mandatory minicamp after speaking with head coach Robert Saleh over the weekend.
His absence is seen as “unexcused” by the team, which could subject him to fines.
While most fans may be upset, super Jets fans and Fox Sports analyst Craig Carton is not.
“This is much ado about nothing…It is also not a very big deal,” Carton recently stated on The Carton Show.

It is clear that the Jets and Rodgers had discussions about this before his absence took place.
This isn’t like he is holding out for a new contract or is dealing with a problem inside the organization.
He is dealing with an unknown situation that only folks in the media can speculate on at the moment.
Carton also went on to state that as a Jets fan, he doesn’t need Rodgers in the building in June.
He needs him there in the regular season when games matter.
Again, he spent the entire OTA period with the team too, so he has already spent a lot of time with the team this offseason.
The four-time MVP and Super Bowl champion has proven his entire career that he is the ultimate pro.
Looking at his career portfolio, it would be difficult to say that the veteran doesn’t prepare well enough for respective games and seasons.
Jets fans need to take a deep breath and R-E-L-A-X.
