The San Francisco 49ers have a major reinforcement for the Super Bowl.
They traded to get Chase Young from the Washington Commanders, and he was pretty much a luxury; it’s not like they needed him to get to this point.
In reality, John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan traded for him for this game and this game only.
The former Defensive Rookie of the Year could be the X-Factor ahead of this game, as the defense can no longer focus on containing Nick Bosa by double-teaming him, as they could leave Young wide open.
However, former NFL player Willie Colon believes the Chiefs’ offensive line isn’t all that worried about Young.
Talking on The Carton Show, the former Pittsburgh Steelers star stated that the Chiefs will continue to focus solely on Nick Bosa:
“This offensive line for the Kansas City Chiefs is not threatened by Chase Young. They don’t fear Chase Young. Now, it’s all eyes on Bosa,” Colon said.

Truth be told, this is one of the hottest takes he’s shared in quite a while.
Young hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations surrounding his career as the No. 2 pick of the NFL Draft, but it hasn’t been due to a lack of production.
When healthy, he’s actually been quite a disruptive defensive force, and he has the talent and physical traits to take over a game at any point.
The Chiefs have an excellent offensive line, and one of the most mobile quarterbacks in the game, and Mahomes is a master at extending plays.
But even a guy like Mahomes is going to have his hands full against this Ohio State tandem, so they better look out.
